Teresa Jordan is the an artist and the author
or editor of seven books, including the memoir Riding the
White Horse Home (Pantheon, 1992). In 2000, she created “Sketchbook
Expeditions,” a series of illustrated journals on
National Parks published by Johnson Books. Field Notes
from the Grand Canyon: Raging River, Quiet Mind, came
out in 2000; Field Notes from Yosemite: Apprentice to Place,
came out in 2002. A recipient of literary fellowships from
the National Endowment of the Arts and the Nevada State
Council on the Arts, she has served as writer in residence
at the University of Utah and University of Nebraska and
has taught writing classes at colleges, universities, and
workshops throughout the West for over fifteen years. Her
artwork is represented by Phillips
Gallery in Salt Lake City, Utah.
