Quack Healings
|
| Homeopathy |
| Homeopathy is a system of medicine
that is based on the Law of Similars. How does the concept of
homeopathy differ from that of conventional medicine? Very simply,
homeopathy attempts to stimulate the body to recover itself. |
| EMDR, Eye
Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing |
| Eye Movement Desensitization
and Reprocessing (EMDR) integrates elements of many effective
psychotherapies in structured protocols that are designed to
maximize treatment effects. These include psychodynamic, cognitive
behavioral, interpersonal, experiential, and body-centered therapies. |
| Facilitated
Communication |
| Facilitated communication
is an alternative means of expression for people who cannot
speak, or whose speech is highly limited (e.g. echoed, limited
to one or a few word utterances), and who cannot point reliably. |
| Neurolinguistic
Programming |
| Neurolinguistic programming
(NLP) is aimed at enhancing the healing process by changing
the conscious and subconscious beliefs of patients about themselves,
their illnesses, and the world. These limiting beliefs are "reprogrammed"
using a variety of techniques drawn from other disciplines including
hypnotherapy and psychotherapy. |
| Therapeutic
Touch |
| Therapeutic Touch is an
intentionally directed process of energy exchange during which
the practitioner uses the hands as a focus to facilitate the
healing process. It is a contemporary interpretation of several
ancient healing practices. Therapeutic Touch is a scientifically-based
practice founded on the premise that the human body, mind, emotions
and intuition form a complex, dynamic energy field. |
| Thought Field
Therapy |
| It gives immediate relief
for PTSD, addictions, phobias, fears and anxieties by directly
treating the blockage in the energy flow created by a disturbing
thought pattern. It virtually eliminates any negative feeling
previously associated with a thought. |

| Evolving
Thought Field Therapy (EvTFT) |
| In EvTFT, the disruptive
emotions (negative or positive) are alleviated through gentle
activation of designated acupuncture points, which neutralizes
or eliminates the energetic cause of the experienced problem. |
| Hypnotic
Regression |
| Hypnotism is a very effective
means of assisting a subject to relax deeply and enter a suggestible
state where memories that are normally forgotten can be recalled
with greater ease from the subconscious. |
| Scotopic
Sensitivity Syndrome (SSS) aka Irlen Syndrome |
| Helen Irlen has yet to
come with a straight out definition of SSS. Her book says that
SSS is an affliction that “involves a structural brain
deficit” in the nervous system, causing signals sent to
the brain to be inappropriately processed, resulting in perceptual
problems. Scotopic Sensitivity Syndrome identifies that full
spectrum light causes this. She goes on to say “that if
certain wavelengths were reduced by colored filters, the brain
would be able to more effectively analyze and process data. |
